Arsenal are keen to further strengthen their squad this summer as they look to continue their progression under Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners have continued to improve each campaign under the tenure of their former midfielder and that is partly due to their shrewd activity in the transfer market.

In the summer of 2023, Arsenal broke their transfer record to sign Declan Rice from West Ham for €116.6 million.

In addition, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and David Raya (loan) also arrived during the same window as the Gunners spent big after missing out on the English top flight title.

The club haven't been shy in splashing the cash recently to try and fight the might of Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League, and with an injection of Champions League money, they are set to splurge on transfers this summer once again.

We exclusively detailed via Steve Kay that Arsenal are prepared to SMASH their transfer record this summer, with Arteta set to be backed heavily in the transfer market.

As always with such a big club, the Arsenal transfer rumour mill is in full swing, with Arteta keen to add to the talent he has already brought to the club.

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the contract situation of Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.

“They are in negotiations. There are discussions but there is really no rush or panic on both sides because they are feeling very good together and Arteta is super happy at Arsenal."

No negotiation for Calafiori

Fabrzio Romano has provided the latest on Riccardo Calafiori and Arsenal.

He said: "Arsenal made an enquiry to understand the situation of the player. I mean, it’s also normal when you are looking for a left-footed player, a left-foot defender. Calafiori is one of the best available now on the market.” “Arsenal have been showing their interest in the situation, but at the moment, it’s NOT a negotiation. There is no bid, there is no contact with Bologna, so it’s just an enquiry to understand the situation of Calafiori.”

Unexpected Murillo boost

Arsenal's prospects of landing Nottingham Forest defender Murillo have improved thanks to Juventus being forced out of the race for the Brazilian, according to reports in Italy.

Journalist Alfredo Pedulla told Sport Italia: “With the arrival of Douglas Luiz and Adzic, Juventus cannot sign other non-EU players, so any talk about Murillo from Nottingham Forest or other candidates has no reason to exist, we are at wastepaper level.

“Juventus will have to get a central defender, but at least we are at the level of evaluations because – at least in these days – most of the investments are concentrated on midfield and attacking midfield.”

Chelsea are also interested in the centre-back, but Forest have reportedly put a price tag of €82m (£70m) on the player.

Lunin opportunity?

Real Madrid are open to selling Andriy Lunin, according to The Sun.

The Ukrainian has been associated with Arsenal as a replacement for Aaron Ramsdale.

Ugarte offered to Arsenal

PSG have offered midfielder Manuel Ugarte to Arsenal as well as other top Premier League sides, according to The Sun.

The Uruguay star has been courted by Man Utd and has had a price of €60m put on his head.

Conte gives Osimhen update

Napoli boss Antonio Conte has outlined the situation regarding Victor Osimhen, who has been linked to Arsenal, Chelsea and PSG this summer.

He said: "As far as Osimhen is concerned, just as I knew very well about the situation of Kvara, Di Lorenzo, Anguissa, Lobotka, on which I have placed an absolute veto.

"Having said that, I know what the situation is regarding Osimhen. I know that there are agreements, that it is a situation different from all the others. I can only assist. He is a player of the highest level, exceptional, but I cannot enter into any discussion because it is part of previous agreements which have been clearly stated to me."

Arsenal want €15m for Albert Sambi Lokonga

Arsenal are reportedly only willing to part ways with Albert Sambi Lokonga for 15 million Euros.

The report is according to ABC Sevilla, who report Spanish side Sevilla are interested in Sambi Lokonga's services. However, they cannot afford to meet Arsenal's valuation of the player.

Sambi Lokonga has spent the last two seasons out on loan at Crystal Palace and Luton, are Arsenal would prefer a permanent transfer for the player this time around. Although, the option for another loan is still on the table.

Arsenal make MILLIONS from Chelsea transfer

Arsenal are set to earn millions from Omari Hutchinson's sale from Chelsea to Ipswich. Hutchinson left Arsenal to join Chelsea last year and was loaned out to Ipswich last season where he helped the club to promotion to the Premier League.

Now he has made his stay at Ipswich permanent and BBC journalist Nizaar Kinsella has reported Arsenal have a 15% sell on clause meaning they will earn £3m from the deal.

Arsenal set to benefit from Hutchinson sell-on

Arsenal will benefit from Chelsea's £22.5m sale of Omari Hutchinson to Ipswich, with the Gunners having inserted a sell-on clause when the youngster moved to Stamford Bridge in 2022.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who confirmed that the winger would be having a medical at Ipswich after agreeing a deal with Chelsea.

Saka reacts to Wright's left-back comments

Bukayo Saka has reacted to comments made by Ian Wright, who said that the Arsenal winger should play left-back for England: “Putting me out of position at left-back is NOT the solution for England, but it’s in Gareth’s hands and we all have to trust what he selects on the day.”

Arsenal to keep defender

Fabrizio Romano on recent links with Arsenal defender: “Jakub Kiwior has been linked with a possible exit from Arsenal again, however, it’s not something concrete or close so far. AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli all appreciate Kiwior, they know him well since he was at Spezia, but that’s it at the moment.”

Arsenal 'offered' Raphinha and Ferran Torres

Barcelona are offering Raphinha and Ferran Torres to clubs around Europe, including Arsenal, in hopes of raising funds for Nico Williams, according to Graeme Bailey.
