‘Chelsea’s Solskjaer!’ – Twitter reacts to Potter sacking
Chelsea have parted company with manager Graham Potter and are now seeking their third manager of the season.
The Blues spent a world-record fee as compensation to take the Englishman from Brighton in September but after barely six months in charge, he has lost his job.

Few would argue with the decision. Chelsea, a club that expected to be fighting for a top-four finish this season after spending a world-record sum in the transfer market over a slew of young players, they have taken the decision to sack Potter with the club languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table after losing 2-0 to Aston Villa on Saturday.
Despite Chelsea’s poor results, though, there had been little indication that Potter would be sacked on Sunday, so the reaction of Twitter was a mixture of shock and delight from Blues fans and from supporters of other sides.
Graham Potter reminds me of Ole, seems like a genuinely great guy but the job was too big for him, arguably the worst manager we’ve had in over 20 years.

Todd said he would be different to Roman 😂😂
I feel for Graham Potter, but it was inevitable. You don’t change Tuchel for Potter. Ridiculous decision to start with. https://t.co/twZpL1D23H— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) April 2, 2023

Well, we didn’t have many good moments under Graham Potter and he was clearly out of his depth here and had to go but will always appreciate the Milan games and Dortmund, wish him the best. pic.twitter.com/ivM9TkRpXg
