Chelsea face an important summer in the transfer market as they look to improve their squad further and appoint a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine joined the Blues last summer, however he lasted just 11 months in charge and left by mutual consent on 21 May after a post-season review meeting.

The Blues subsequently announced on 3 June that Enzo Maresca will be their new manager.

Although Todd Boehly has overseen a spend of more than €1 billion on new players since arriving at the club in 2022, there has been no success to show for it, with the Stamford Bridge outfit finishing 12th in his first campaign as owner and sixth in 2023-24.

However, Chelsea continue to target a raft of promising young players, despite the evident need for more experience in the dressing room.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen initially headlined Chelsea’s summer transfer targets, but the Blues are also looking at alternatives, and many other deals could well be completed in a bid to get their squad into shape.

In addition, they are also looking to sign a new centre-back following the confirmation that Thiago Silva will be leaving, while a deal is in place to sign Palmeiras wonderkid Estevao for an initial €40 million.

Our Chelsea transfer live blog brings you all the latest news surrounding the Blues, including exclusives from our own reporters as well as checking out what the other big names are saying (including the likes of Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein).

The Blues are expected to see several players come and go, and the Stamford Bridge rumour mill is already in full swing.

Arsenal to beat Chelsea to Calafiori?

Napoli will NOT go below €100m asking price for Osimhen

There is no chance that Napoli will allow Victor Osimhen to leave for less than €100m.

The striker is a wanted man this summer and has a release clause of €130m which no team has been willing to trigger as of yet. That has let to the asking price being lowered, however Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is adamant that the club will not accept any less than the €100m figure mentioned above.

Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG and clubs from the Saudi Pro League are all interested in Osimhen. (SportMediaSet)

Chelsea outmuscle Arsenal in Williams pursuit

Both Chelsea and Arsenal are prepared to meet Nico Williams' €58 million release clause at Athletic Club.

However, the Blues are willing to offer bumper wages of €15m a season which eclipses the offer from Arsenal, meaning the Stamford Bridge side are currently leading the race for Williams' signature.

It is believed that the player himself would prefer a move to Barcelona. (AS)

The latest from Fabrizio Romano

Chilwell future uncertain

Chelsea vice-captain Ben Chilwell is by no means assured of a place in the team under Enzo Maresca.

He struggled with injuries and fitness last season and did not earn a place in England's squad for the European Championships.

Chilwell is one of a number of senior players who might be sold by the club to raise funds. (Telegraph)

Chelsea approach Nico Williams

Chelsea have approached representatives of Nico Williams to discuss a potential summer deal.

Williams enjoyed a superb season with Athletic Bilbao and has continued his impressive form into the European Championships with Spain.

He is a wanted man by many clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona, and it is believed his preferred destination would be Camp Nou with Barca. (Sport)

Osimhen move isn't dead yet

Chelsea could still try and sign Victor Osimhen this summer if Napoli drop their asking price.

The Nigerian striker is a wanted man, but his €100m valuation is putting a lot of suitors off.

It is more likely at the moment that he will move to the riches of the Saudi Pro League, but the Blues will keep an eye on developments to see if he can be acquired for a lower fee. (Telegraph)

Chelsea retain interest in Solanke

Chelsea have been linked with a number of strikers recently including Jonathan David and Samu Omorodion, but they retain an interest in Dominc Solanke, too.

The Bournemouth forward was at Chelsea as a youngster before moving to Liverpool then the Cherries, where he has proved himself a prolific goalscorer.

He has a release clause of £65 million that can be triggered by certain clubs. (Athletic)
