Chelsea face an important summer in the transfer market as they look to improve their squad further and appoint a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine joined the Blues last summer, however he lasted just 11 months in charge and left by mutual consent on 21 May after a post-season review meeting.

The Blues subsequently announced on 3 June that Enzo Maresca will be their new manager.

Although Todd Boehly has overseen a spend of more than €1 billion on new players since arriving at the club in 2022, there has been no success to show for it, with the Stamford Bridge outfit finishing 12th in his first campaign as owner and sixth in 2023-24.

However, Chelsea continue to target a raft of promising young players, despite the evident need for more experience in the dressing room.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen initially headlined Chelsea’s summer transfer targets, but the Blues are also looking at alternatives, and many other deals could well be completed in a bid to get their squad into shape.

In addition, they are also looking to sign a new centre-back following the confirmation that Thiago Silva will be leaving, while a deal is in place to sign Palmeiras wonderkid Estevao for an initial €40 million.

Our Chelsea transfer live blog brings you all the latest news surrounding the Blues, including exclusives from our own reporters as well as checking out what the other big names are saying (including the likes of Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein).

Arsenal and Chelsea battle for wonderkid

Huijsen alternative identified

Chelsea are one of a number of clubs interested in signing Dean Huijsen, but they have identified Jorrel Hato as an alternative.

The Bournemount defender will be a wanted man this summer as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal, Liverpool,Tottenham and Bayern Munich have all been linked with a move, in addition to the Blues.

Chelsea target DREAMS of Premier League

It is reportedly a dream of Serhou Guirassy to one day play in the Premier League.

The Borussia Dortmund striker has been superb in an average BVB team this campaign and during the week scored a hat-trick against Barcelona in the quarter-final of the Champions League.

He was linked with Chelsea last year while at Stuttgart but Dortmund moved quickly to secure his signature. He has a release clause of €70 million that can only be triggered by a handful of clubs - including Chelsea. (Bild)

The Blues CANNOT lose him

The right move?

Delap prefers Arsenal or Chelsea to Man Utd

Ipswich will be relegated from the Premier League before the end of the season and when it is made official, a £30 million relegation clause will activate for Liam Delap.

The player will be a wanted man this summer as half the league is interested in a deal, but it is believed he wants to play in Europe which has alerted the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.

That preference also rules out the possibility of a move to Man Utd - unless they win the Europa League. (Daily Express)

Benfica want Joao Felix back

Chelsea hope to sell Joao Felix for a fee this summer but Benfica are willing to take their former player on loan.

The Portuguese forward signed for Chelsea before the start of this season but failed to impress, which resulted in a loan spell at Milan which has been a disaster.

Huijsen to STAY in the Premier League

Should Dean Huijsen be sold by Bournemouth, it will likely be to another Premier League club.

The young Spaniard has impressed with the Cherries this season and has a release clause of €60 million which many clubs believe could prove to be a bargain due to his age and profile.

Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are interested, but GiveMeSport reports that Huijsen is likely to stay in England, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd all keen on a deal. The report states that Chelsea and Liverpool are leading the race.

Felix-Osimhen boost

Chelsea still hold hope of signing Victor Osimhen this summer should they manage to qualify for the Champions League.

They need to offload flop Joao Felix, however, who has spent a dire second half of the campaign on loan at Milan, who will not sign him permanently.

Luckily for the Blues, Galatasaray are going to throw some money to Stamford Bridge to bring Felix to Turkey, which would free up some transfer funds and wages to bring in Osimhen. (Fichajes)

Chelsea NEED the Champions League

Player-plus-cash for Guehi

Chelsea want to bring Marc Guehi back to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are keen to sign yet another centre-back after a series of flops in that position, and could end up paying an exorbitant fee for a player who was previously on their books, now at Crystal Palace.

The Mirror reports that Chelsea will include Trevoh Chalobah - previously on loan at Palace - in any deal.

The Eagles want £70 million for the player, but Chelsea believe £50m + Chalobah will get the deal done as Guehi has just over a year left on his contract.

Arsenal hope to beat Chelsea to €75m star

Arsenal still hold an interest in Jules Kounde and could look to beat Chelsea to his signature with a €75 million bid this summer.

Kounde was linked with the Gunners while at Sevilla before he opted to move to Barcelona instead. Barca's financial situation is so dire that they would be unable to reject such a significant fee for one of their players so Arsenal believe that amount could get the deal done.

The Frenchman has been a standout player for Los Cules this season. (Fichajes)
