That is according to Defensa Central, who report that the Blues will return for the Napoli star, who is on loan at Galatasaray.

The report claims that Chelsea are preparing a bid that will reach €75 million, a figure that would be accepted by Napoli.

Despite being on loan at Galatasaray for the season, Osimhen can be sold to a new club permanently during the January transfer window.

The Blues had planned to sign a new number nine this past summer and attempted to bring in Osimhen from Napoli late in the window.

However, the move failed and Osimhen ended up joining Galatasaray on loan.

With Chelsea failing to sign an alternative, the report claims they will instead buy a striker in the January transfer window.

Osimhen has a clause in his Galatasaray contract that will allow him to leave in January.

Current first choice Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has made a decent start to the season with four goals and three assists in seven Premier League matches but it is well accepted that he is not the level required for a team as big as the Blues.

Chelsea have made a decent start to the Premier League season under new manager Enzo Maresca, and they find themselves in fourth position after seven games, four points behind league leaders Liverpool.
