Liverpool CLOSE to signing Real Madrid star in January
Liverpool are close to completing the transfer of Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni, according to TeamTalk.

There have been reports that Liverpool had prepared an offer worth an eventual €80 million for Tchouameni.
Regardless, TeamTalk assure that a transfer is close to being completed and would see the 2022 World Cup star officially move when the winter transfer window opens in January.
Liverpool have made the signing of a deep-lying midfielder their priority in January, having failed to sign their first target Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad this past summer.
Real Madrid happy to sell Tchouameni
Madrid are open to selling Tchouameni in order to fund the signing of at least one new defender in January, having lost Eder Militao and David Carvajal to ACL injuries.

Madrid also are not completely satisfied with Tchouameni and want a central midfielder with better creativity and ball-playing skills to replace him.

Tchouameni, 24, moved to the Santiago Bernabeu two years ago from Monaco for €100m.
Tchouameni has made 102 appearances since joining Real Madrid from AS Monaco, scoring three goals and winning seven major trophies.
Liverpool are currently flying high at the top of the Premier League under new manager Arne Slot.
The Reds believe that a big January signing could make the difference in allowing them to go all the way and win the title this season.
