United have set aside €60m and have made it be known to Atalanta that they are ready to spend this amount to sign the 25-year-old.

Will Ederson leave Atalanta?
Ederson's deal in Bergamo expires in 2027 and, while Atalanta want to prolong his stay, they will consider a sale if a new contract isn't agreed in the next months.
Atalanta generally sell at least one top player per summer and Ademola Lookman is the first in the queue to be sold next.
United are in the market for a top-class central midfielder this summer, with the likes of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen set to leave.
They are big fans of Ederson, who is considered by some as the best central midfielder in Serie A.

Who is Ederson?
Ederson functions mostly as a box to box midfielder, but he can play as a defensive midfielder and as a more attacking central midfielder.
Importantly, he boasts intensity, fierce tackling and pressing, and superb stamina that sees him cover lots of ground and never stop running.
The Brazilian played a key role in Atalanta winning the Europa League last season and he produced a world class performance in the 3-0 thrashing of Bayer Leverkusen in the final.
Atalanta generally sell one big-name star each year, with Teun Koopmeiners sacrificed last summer to Juventus for over €60m.
Ederson joined Atalanta from Salernitana in 2022 and has gone on to make over 100 appearances, scoring 12 goals.
