Manchester United have started arguably the most pivotal transfer window in their modern history as INEOS have taken control of football operations at Old Trafford.

Article continues under the video

With a new structure above manager Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils have already seen significant changes this summer.

The Dutchman survived a two-week end-of-season review from the higher-ups at the club so he will be in charge of the team on the opening game of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.

He has even signed a contract extension at Old Trafford after guiding the club to FA Cup glory in May.

Off the pitch, there is now great hope with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS looking to oversee drastic improvement on the pitch following their arrival earlier this year.

No more Ed Woodward, and hopefully a structure which can set up the club for future success. Expect many players to leave and several to come in during the summer transfer window.

Our live Man Utd transfer blog brings you all the latest news surrounding the Red Devils, including exclusives from our own reporters as well as checking out what the other big names are saying (including the likes of Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein).

There are expected to be many moves this summer with players coming and going, and the Old Trafford rumour mill is already in full swing.

United scout Croatian wonderkid

Dinamo Zagreb attacker Martin Baturina is reportedly ‘very high’ on Manchester United's wishlist, with Red Devils scouts said to have been following the 21-year-old ‘for a long time’, according to Croatian outlet Germanijak.

Reports from Croatia claim United sent scouts to watch Baturina in action in the Nations League against Portugal and Poland and are now set to follow him to Croatia for Dinamo Zagreb’s derby with Hajduk Split.

Ten Hag could be sacked with bad result against Southampton, claims Saha

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has admitted he believes Erik ten Hag's position as manager could become 'untenable' with a poor result this weekend against Southampton.

After being asked if Ten Hag could be sacked if the Saints win against United, Saha told Betfred: “I think so. Against Liverpool, the issue was the performance rather than just the result, so Erik’s under pressure because the team isn’t playing well.

“There were no signs during the game that things were going to be fixed. On Saturday, if Southampton are able to dominate against Manchester United in the same way that Liverpool dominated last week, then the situation would be untenable for Erik ten Hag.”

Eze monitored by Man Utd

Man Utd will monitor Eberechi Eze this season ahead of a proposed 2025 move, say reports.

Manchester Evening News claim the club will be able to reactivate a £68m release clause with Crystal Palace next summer.

The 26-year-old came off the bench last night in England's 2-0 victory over Finland at Wembley.

Red Devils target departing Bundesliga star

Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah has been linked with a move to Man Utd.

Sport claim that United, Liverpool and Chelsea are all keen on the 28-year-old.

The wantaway star has admitted he will not be signing a new contract at the German club and is willing to change club.

“I’m not going to sign a new contract with Bayer Leverkusen. My decision is made,” he said.

“I’ll give everything for the club until the end of my contract and then we’ll see about my future club. My decision is to go and try a different experience.”

United chase Palace midfield star

Adam Wharton will be a January transfer target for Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag, claim Spainish media outlet Fichajes.

The 20-year-old Cystal Palace midfielder impressed many with his perfomances last season. Reports say he is also being watched by Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Ronaldo slams Ten Hag's loser mentality

Former Man Utd superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has thrown shade at current boss Erik ten Hag by claiming he has a losing mentality.

The 39-year-old, who left the club with ten Hag at the helm, told Rio Ferdinand that United aren't equipped for silverware with the Dutch gaffer in charge.

“Man Utd, they need to rebuild everything, in my opinion. The coach, they say they cannot compete to win the League and Champions League,” said Ronaldo.

“As a Manchester United coach, you cannot say that you're not going to fight to win the league or Champions League. You have to be, to mentally say, listen, maybe we don't have that potential, but I cannot say that. We're going to try. You have to try."

More on Antony staying

Zero interest from Fenerbahce in Antony

Fenerbahce have no interest in signing Antony from Man Utd either on a permanent deal or on loan.

The Brazilian winger has been a major flop since his huge £90 million transfer from Ajax and has been on the periphery of the starting XI at the start of the current season.

The Turkish transfer window remains open and there were previous reports that Fenerbahce could take Antony on loan before the deadline this Friday, but that won't be happening. (MEN)

Three players DEFINITELY leaving next summer

De Ligt did not have a good game at all

Did Man Utd make a mistake letting him go?

Three Shaw replacement options

Manchester United are scouting Antonee Robinson (Fulham), Milos Kerkez (Bournemouth) and Bradley Locko (Stade Brestois) as they search for a new left-back.

That is according to GiveMeSport, who report that Man Utd could look to dip into the left-back market in January.

Man Utd want Wharton and Hackney

Eze competition

Man Utd face competition from Tottenham and Man City for Eberechi Eze's signature.

The England winger was linked with a move away from Crystal Palace in the summer but no club pressed ahead with interest to make a concrete offer, and Palace were more than happy to keep the player as they had already sold Michael Olise.

It was previously reported that United had a free run at Eze, but talkSPORT details that Spurs and City want him also.

United desperate for Hojlund return

Ally McCoist reckons Man Utd are desperate to see Rasmus Hojlund return from injury. The pundit said on talkSPORT:

"Rasmus Hojlund coming back from injury is going to be massive for Manchester United. They look toothless going forwards at the moment – they play some nice football on occasion, but there’s no real cutting edge and they don’t have a proper goalscorer in the box to attack crosses and through balls."
