The summer transfer window was a big one for Manchester United as they managed to reinforce the biggest problem areas in their squad.

With a new structure above manager Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils saw significant changes under INEOS in the summer.

Firstly, Ten Hag survived a two-week end-of-season review from the higher-ups at the club, and he even signed a contract extension at Old Trafford after guiding the club to FA Cup glory in May.

Off the pitch, there is now great hope with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS overseeing drastic improvements in the market.

They signed Manuel Ugarte, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Joshua Zirkzee and Noussair Mazraoui in the summer, while Sekou Kone was brought in as one for the future.

Our live Man Utd transfer blog brings you all the latest news surrounding the Red Devils, including exclusives from our own reporters as well as checking out what the other big names are saying (including the likes of Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein).

Ten Hag reveals Rashford exclusion

Marcus Rashford was dropped by Erik ten Hag for the Red Devils draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Dutch boss explained he has to rotate the squad to allow all his stars to get playing time.

"It was not difficult [to drop him] because we need to rotate," Ten Hag revealed.

"Because we have many games to cover and we have to give Alejandro [Garnacho] games - and as we have all seen, he has such a lot of end product, scored so many goals, so many assists, but often as a sub.

"He also needs starts - he's had just one start this season."
