Romano has now added on Wednesday morning that Dorgu will undergo his medical in Manchester on Thursday and become a Red Devil.

Man Utd had been in exhaustive talks with the Serie A side in the last week or so.

They had two previous offers rejected before finally agreeing on a fee with Lecce. A host of other big clubs were interested in Dorgu, including Chelsea, Napoli and Juventus.

Man Utd have been in the market for a left back this window as it has been a problem position for them this season, with both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia constantly injured.

He made 57 appearances for Lecce, scoring five goals.
