Ruben Amorim reveals Man Utd’s January and summer transfer plans
Ruben Amorim says that he will not sign any Sporting Lisbon players in January but has opened the door to sign them in the summer.
Amorim will officially take charge of his new club on Monday, with many Man Utd fans excited at the prospect of him bringing some of his Sporting Lisbon stars with him.
However, the 39-year-old has made it clear that he will not ransack his soon-to-be former club during the January transfer window - even if he has left the door open to do so in the summer.

But Amorim says he doesn’t have the players at United to do exactly what he did with Sporting.
What did Amorim say?
“I will not sign any Sporting player at Man United in January… then, what happens in the summer I don’t know," Amorim said.
“Sporting players are good players. We will see what happens."

This opens up the prospect of United moving for Sporting Lisbon goal machine Viktor Gyokeres in the summer, with the Sweden striker now regarded as one of Europe's best attackers.
On Tuesday evening, Amorim oversaw an emphatic 4-1 win for Sporting against Man Utd’s rivals Manchester City in the Champions League.
Viktor Gyokeres scored a hattrick for the home side in that game.
Amorim was announced as the next permanent Man Utd head coach last week following the sacking of Erik ten Hag.
It was decided that the 39-year-old would remain at Sporting Lisbon until 11 November due to a notice period clause in his contract with his first official game as Man Utd boss coming against Ipswich Town on 24 November.
In hiring Amorim, United had to pay the €10 million release clause in his Sporting Lisbon contract.
