United face Kim Min-jae competition

Manchester United might have hoped for a free run at Napoli defender Kim Min-jae, but they will not get it. The Sun reports that Newcastle are also interested in the player.

FootballTransfers suggested five players who could be targeted as alternatives to Kim should United fail in their bid to land the South Korea centre-back.

Disasi close to Man Utd deal

One of those players who FootballTransfers suggested as a Kim alternative is Monaco’s Axel Disasi, although he was only fourth on our list. L’Equipe reports that he is just a “step away” from joining the Old Trafford club.

Rice to Man Utd?

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is one of those players to be linked with a move to Man Utd, and after winning the Conference League with David Moyes’ side on Wednesday, the England international spoke out about his future.

"At the moment, there's a lot of speculation going on about my future. There is interest from other clubs, that's out there, but I've got two years left at West Ham ultimately.

"I love this club, I love playing for this club. There's not been anything yet, so my focus is on playing for West Ham, enjoying tonight and then seeing what happens.

"I'm captain of this club, I love it to pieces and I cannot speak highly enough of this place. Let's see what happens."

Ten Hag following Gutierrez

Man Utd are one of a number of clubs following Chicago Fire prospect Brian Gutierrez, according to the Daily Mail.

The 19-year-old has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €2.3m.

Greenwood decision imminent

Mason Greenwood will be informed on the club’s decision over his future in the next few weeks, the Manchester Evening News states.

Greenwood has been involved in legal and personal matters that have seen him frozen out of the first-team picture for 18 months.
