Man Utd Transfer News Today: Sancho holds EXIT talks, N’Golo Kante CLONE to sign, new kit REVEALED
The latest Manchester United football transfer news updates, with the hottest updates on all the potential new signings and sales at Old Trafford, including Jadon Sancho, Manuel Ugarte, Sofyan Amrabat and Marcus Rashford.
PSG hold Jadon Sancho talks
Paris Saint-Germain have held talks with Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho’s camp over a possible switch to the Parc des Princes, FootballTransfers can confirm.
The French club are yet to speak to Man Utd but are keen on the former England international, who is also open to joining.

Personal terms are not expected to be a problem but Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in Sancho.
However, Man Utd are holding firm on their valuation of Sancho, who has been reintegrated into the side, which is so far pricing both the Italian and the German club out of the deal.
Man Utd’s own N’Golo Kante
PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte has been dubbed a player who could be Man Utd’s version of N’Golo Kante.
Lucas Hernandez has hailed the energy of the ball-winning midfield star, who has been linked with a €70 million move to Old Trafford.
“He reminds me of N’Golo Kante,” the France international claimed.
The sticking point is that Man Utd do not want to match PSG’s valuation of the player, as confirmed by FootballTransfers alongside the exclusive news that the Red Devils are seeking a move for Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand.
Agent fuels transfer rumours
Sofyan Amrabat could return to Man Utd next term as an alternative to Ugarte, with agent Giulio Tedeschi doing little to quell rumours that the Fiorentina and Morocco midfielder is on his way back to Old Trafford.
“Right now, in my opinion there is a concrete possibility of bringing Amrabat back to Manchester United,” Tedeschi told Firenze Viola.
“In my opinion there was some doubt also because it was not known whether Ten Hag would stay. Now that it’s certain that he will stay, there are grounds to think about bringing Amrabat back even on loan with obligation, or at a lower figure. The United solution is the easiest.
“I believe Amrabat’s renewal with Fiorentina until 2026 was done deliberately to help La Viola gain strength. It’s a tactic that clubs use to gain bargaining power. If it’s not €20m, it won’t even be €10m. It will be a mid-range figure, trying to maximise his sale.”
Man Utd to miss out on target
West Ham and Bayern Munich have reached an agreement over Mazraoui, with Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg claiming a deal worth €15.5 million plus €4m in add-ons has been struck.
United had been monitoring the situation surrounding Mazraoui, having considered the Moroccan a value addition to bolster the club’s depth at right-back.
Ten Hag was thought to be keen to link up with Mazraoui, having managed the 26-year-old at Ajax, with the belief that a reunion could also benefit Antony, who had enjoyed a strong partnership with the defender down the right-hand side during his time in Amsterdam.

Man Utd’s left-back hunt
Manchester United are chasing a left-back this summer, with The Mirror reporting the Red Devils have targeted three players in particular: Marcos Alonso (free agent), David Hancko (Feyenoord) and Tyrick Mitchell (Crystal Palace).
Fabrizio Romano says that the identity of the players the Red Devils are targeting is still uncertain, with no contact made with Alonso.
He explains: “Man Utd have already decided they will invest in the left-back position. Why? Tyrell Malacia is still not fit and ready to play, Luke Shaw is back but he’s always having many problems. They still need cover.
“We’ve had rumours on some players. Marcos Alonso, the former Chelsea player who is now available for free, I wanted to say that he’s not received any approach.
“There are many rumours on other players. Sergio Reguillon, who did quite well in six months before his loan was cut, there’s still nothing concrete. In general, Reguillon was very happy at Man Utd. He loved his time there.”
Champions League NOT a target
Erik ten Hag has been told that Man Utd are not expected to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, according to a report in the Guardian.
The former Ajax manager, who has been at Old Trafford for two seasons, will not get a free ride, though.
“In concert with the sporting director, Dan Ashworth, Ten Hag’s remit is to significantly improve on-field performance and off-field standards. After United finished eighth last season, their lowest of the Premier League era, there is a recognition that all areas of football policy require repurposing,” The Guardian states.
New away kit released
Manchester United have confirmed their new away kit for the 2024/25 campaign.
Sam Handy, Adidas' SVP of Product and Design said: “We have the honour every season to resonate with fans via special nods to their club and culture – and for the Manchester United away kit this season, it’s the city itself.
"Through features such as the collar and a nostalgic design that speaks to beloved design codes, we champion elements of the city and club’s history, finished with premium modern details to stand out on the streets, in the stands and on the pitch.”

The appearance of Marcus Rashford in the promotional video strongly suggests that the attacker is going nowhere, despite tentative rumours linking him to PSG.
