Fabrizio Romano drops Gyokeres to Man Utd UPDATE

A Manchester United deal for Viktor Gyokeres will be difficult, claims Fabrizio Romano.
Gyokeres is one of the hottest properties on the summer transfer market, with a host of big English and European clubs chasing his signature, including Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea.

In recent days, there have been reports that Man Utd have surged into the lead for Gyokeres.
But Romano is cautious whether United can afford the Sporting Lisbon striker.
What did Romano say?
"Nothing is decided so far," Romano said.
"Man United but also Arsenal remain keen.
“For Man United, the Financial Fair Play budget will be crucial to understand how much they can spend on a striker."
The feeling is that United will have to qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League, as well as make player sales, before they are in a position to afford Gyokeres.
Gyokeres has a €100 million release clause in his Sporting Lisbon contract so will not come cheap.
United are in the market for a top striker this summer after another dismal season in front of goal, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee both failing to hit the grade.
They have been linked with many other strikers, including Victor Osimhen, Liam Delap and Benjamin Sesko.

Gyokeres on fire
Gyokeres is the hottest striking property around right now and is having an incredible season, scoring 52 goals in 48 games in all competitions.
This follows on from his brilliant form from last season for Sporting where he scored 43 goals in all competitions for his club.
Gyokeres is expected to be sold by Sporting at the end of the 2024-25 season in order for the Sweden international to make the next step in his career.
