Greenwood latest: Man Utd get ‘MAJOR’ enquiry as Premier League interest CONFIRMED
Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood is of interest to multiple Premier League clubs and may also have the opportunity to move to Serie A, according to a report from Italy.
Greenwood has been out of action since January 2022 because of legal and personal difficulties, with the once-capped England international presently suspended from the club pending the results of an internal investigation.
The 21-year-old, who is under contract until 2025, is expected to learn whether the Red Devils intend to keep him for the season ahead imminently, but there are reports that a compromise deal might be struck that will see him loaned out for a season, thereby giving Man Utd a further year to assess their options as well as the player’s form.

Greenwood had been widely tipped to move abroad to escape the media glare of his return, but according to La Repubblica has options in the Premier League while Juventus are said to have made a “major” enquiry to Man Utd. Atalanta also hold an interest while rumours linking the striker to Roma have lessened.
The Italian source states: “Juve’s enquiry has been described as a ‘major’ one, with the report also echoing the fact that United are interested in loaning out the 21-year-old this summer.
“Having said that, Premier League clubs are also interested in the player and they are also looking to sign him on a permanent basis.”

What Premier League clubs want to sign Greenwood?
It is unclear which Premier League clubs want to sign Greenwood at this point, but given the baggage the forward carries at this point in his career, any club wishing to sign him would face a PR storm.
Man Utd are thought to be split as to whether they will retain him for the season ahead, with manager Erik ten Hag known to be a keen admirer of the player’s talents. However, there are fears that commercial partners and sponsors could desert the club over fears of a political backlash against Greenwood’s presence.
