OFFICIAL: Mo Salah signs new Liverpool contract

Mohamed Salah has signed his new Liverpool contract, putting to an end to speculation that he could leave for the Saudi Pro League.
Liverpool have not announced how long Salah's new commitment to the club is, but it is believed that his new contract will run until 2027.
It means that the Egypt international star is poised to complete a decade at Anfield.
In a statement released on the club's official website, the Reds state: "Liverpool FC can announce Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract that will keep him with the club beyond the 2024-25 season."
Salah has been the driving force behind Liverpool's stellar campaign, which is likely to end with Arne Slot's side lifting the Premier League trophy. The 32-year-old has 27 top-flight strikes to his name this term and 32 goals across all competitions. On top of this, he boasts 22 assists.

Salah: I signed to win more trophies at Liverpool
Salah turned down the prospect of a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League, and explained his decision.
“Of course I’m very excited. We have a great team now. Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football,” he said.
“It’s great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career.
“I would like to say to [the fans], I am very, very happy to be here. I signed here because I believe we can win a lot of big trophies together. Keep supporting us and we’ll give it our best, and hopefully in the future we’re going to win more trophies.”
Salah had previously fuelled speculation that he could leave the Reds by stating that he was "more out than in", a fact that Liverpool's social media team played on as they announced a new deal for the veteran with the caption "more in than out".
For the Anfield side, more broadly, this is an excellent way to start the summer.
Salah was one of three major Liverpool stars out of contract at the end of June, with Virgil van Dijk expected to follow him by committing his future to the club. Trent Alexander-Arnold, on the other hand, looks increasingly likely to move to Real Madrid.
