Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton have been interested in the 22-year-old forward for some time, but Manchester United are now linked with the Ghana international, who impressed at the World Cup by scoring two goals in three matches.

REVEALED: The world's most valuable players

Ajax don’t want to see the player depart, but Kudus is a fan of the Premier League and appears ready to push for a move should a deal become possible.

And Qatar 2022 was confirmation of Kudus’ talents to a variety of clubs rather than a breakout moment for the player, meaning that clubs already appreciate the value of having him in their squad.

’Kudus has absolutely everything’

“A number of teams were looking at him prior to the World Cup. He showed his qualities as an attacker, scoring two goals in three games with Ghana,” transfer expert Ben Jacobs explained to FootballTransfers.

“He has that versatility to play in midfield and further forwards. His stats this season for Ajax showcase that. He’s scored five league goals and 10 in all competitions, compared to just one in the previous season, which illustrates that transition to become a goal scorer.

“When you have a player like that, they’re bound to be of appeal. Teams love versatile players but they also love the type of player who shows they can be clinical but also be more rigid in game-management situations by dropping into midfield or, just as importantly, holding up the ball.

“What Kudus has done well over the last 12 months is improved his overall awareness of team-mates and his movement off the ball too.

“He’s got absolutely everything in terms of what a lot of top clubs might want – and there’s still huge room for improvement as he’s only 22 years of age.”

Now it just remains to be seen who wins the battle for his signature.
