Real Madrid plan to replace Vinicius Jr with €200m Erling Haaland
Real Madrid are preparing to sign Erling Haaland as a replacement for Vinicius Jr, who looks increasingly likely to leave the club next year.
That is according to Fichajes, who report that Madrid are preparing a €200 million bid for Haaland in 2025.
The plan is for Haaland to replace Vinicius Jr, who looks increasingly likely to leave Madrid at the end of the season.

Vini Jr's contract with Madrid expires in 2027 and he is not interested in extending. The Brazilian seems open to a new challenge and is also upset that he did not win the Ballon d'Or.
Vinicius Jr is wanted by the Saudi Pro League, as well as Man Utd and PSG.
As for Haaland, he has been tipped to quit Man City at the end of the season for a number of reasons.

First of all, Haaland never intended to stay at City for the long term when he arrived from Borussia Dortmund in 2022.
This is now his third season and he feels he will have achieved everything he wants to by the end of the current campaign.
Secondly, Pep Guardiola is due to leave City at the end of the season when his contract expires - with little prospect of a renewal.
Thirdly, Man City are currently embroiled in the ‘Trial of the Century’ fighting against 115 charges for alleged breaches of the Premier League's financial rules. Heavy punishments - including relegation - are very possible. Haaland realises that City are likely to be severely punished and this will further push him to move.
Haaland scored an incredible 90 goals in 98 games in his first two seasons at Man City, winning every major trophy in the club game, including two Premier League titles and a Champions League.
He has also started the current season in brilliant form, with 11 goals in 10 Premier League matches.
Haaland to replace Vinicius Jr at Real Madrid
Haaland's agent Rafaela Pimenta admitted earlier this year that Haaland sees a future move to Madrid as something of a dream.
“There is the Premier League, and there is Real Madrid, and Real Madrid has something of its own that makes it the dreamland for the players,” Pimenta said.
“Madrid keeps this magic going. It doesn’t have the league competition but it does have the Champions League.
“In my agency, we try to make a plan. We have to make a plan. We need to have a goal. Maybe we won’t achieve it but if we don’t know where we’re going, for sure we don’t get there.”
Haaland release clause
Haaland has a release clause that came into effect in the summer of 2024 that is worth €200 million.
According to The Athletic, that release clause is only valid for clubs outside of the Premier League.
It is also reported that the release clause will decrease each year after it is activated in 2024.
Haaland reportedly has a second minimum fee release clause that will be activated in the summer of 2025 that stands at €175m. It will then decrease again in 2026.
If that is true, it means Madrid could sign Haaland for less than €200m in 2025.
