Real Madrid offer Trent Alexander Arnold €90m contract, as Romano responds
Real Madrid will offer Trent Alexander-Arnold a contract worth a staggering €90 million, according to Caught Offside.
The Liverpool right back will be offered a five year contract with a salary of €17-18m per season. That will be worth an incredible €90m over the course of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Alexander-Arnold’s future is very much up for discussion currently as his contract at Liverpool expires in 2025.

Contract talks have not been going well and it was widely reported in Spain a fortnight ago that Alexander-Arnold had rejected Liverpool’s latest offer.
Time is now running out for Liverpool to get Trent to sign a new deal before he is able to discuss pre contracts with new clubs from January.
Real Madrid have been long-term admirers of Alexander-Arnold and see the right back as the long-term successor to the ageing and injured Dani Carvajal. They wish to sign him on a free transfer next summer.

Fabrizio Romano has offered his latest update on Alexander-Arnold’s situation. He has confirmed that Madrid are trying to sign the player but says it is not certain he will leave Liverpool.
What did Romano say?
“As of today, Liverpool deny to have any communication from the player or his camp that he is not going to accept the contract,” Romano said.
“Trent Alexander-Arnold remains in contact with Liverpool and he’s talking to Liverpool.
“Then, Real Madrid are there, they will be there, they have been there for months, since March, working on Trent Alexander-Arnold as a dream target. They are monitoring the situation. Real Madrid when there is a top player like Trent potentially available as a free agent they are always very attentive. This is what they’re doing. Let’s see when and if they’ll make contact.
“What I’m hearing is that to think about a January transfer is really complicated,” Romano added.
“We had these kinds of rumours but I don’t see that at the moment, this is not something realistic.
“What we can say is that he remains top of the list for Real Madrid as right-back. But it depends what happens with Liverpool. As of today Trent didn’t tell Liverpool ‘I’m leaving’.”
Liverpool are determined to keep Trent as they are already expected to lose Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk next summer when their deals expire.
Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool
Alexander-Arnold was born in Liverpool and grew up in the club’s youth academy from the age of six.
He made his senior debut for Liverpool at the age of 18 in 2016 and went on to become a key player in Jurgen Klopp’s successful era at the club.
Famed for his brilliant right-foot, vision and long cross-field passes, Alexander Arnold has made over 300 appearances for Liverpool.
He has won seven trophies with Liverpool, including the 2019 Champions League and 2020 Premier League.
He has been capped 33 times by England but under previous manager Gareth Southgate never had the same trust from his country as he has had at his club.
