That is according to Sozcu, who report that the Turkish side plan to make Osimhen's loan move permanent in the winter transfer window.

They are preparing an offer of €50m for the Napoli-owned striker and are confident that they will be successful with their bid.

Osimhen himself is more open than he was initially to making the transfer permanent after settling in well at Galatasaray, scoring four goals and making four assists in seven games this season in all competitions.

Despite being on loan at Galatasaray for the season, Osimhen can be sold permanently during the January transfer window, either to the Turks or another side.

Osimhen blow to Chelsea

The news of Galatasaray's plans will come as a blow to Chelsea, who had planned to sign a new number nine this past summer and attempted to bring in Osimhen from Napoli late in the window.

However, the move failed and Osimhen ended up joining Galatasaray on loan.

With Chelsea failing to sign an alternative, it has been reported they could come back in for Osimhen in January.

Osimhen has a clause in his Galatasaray contract that will allow him to leave in January.

Current first choice Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has made a good start to the season with six goals and three assists in nine Premier League matches but it is well accepted that he is not the level required for a team as big as the Blues.

Chelsea have made a decent start to the Premier League season under new manager Enzo Maresca, and they find themselves in sixth position after nine games, with a game in hand that could put them up to third.

Saudi Pro League clubs are also interested in signing Osimhen, but the Nigerian would prefer to stay in Europe at this point of his career.

Osimhen has no future at Napoli, despite inspiring them to a historic Scudetto in 2023. Napoli have replaced him with Romelu Lukaku and are currently top of Serie A.
