Lionel Messi sent shockwaves across the football world when he left Paris Saint-Germain to join Major League Soccer outfit Inter Miami in the summer of 2023.
The Argentine legend had spent a fairly underwhelming two years at the Parc des Princes after his departure from Barcelona and he ultimately failed to help the Parisians finally break their Champions League duck.
Instead, the attacking trident of Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe was more of a hindrance than a help and PSG limped over the line to seal the 2022-23 Ligue 1 title by a mere point from RC Lens.

Therefore, Messi’s exit in July 2023 was seen as an inevitability, although Inter Miami had to fight off competition from Barcelona and the Saudi Pro League to secure the forward’s signature.
He joined midway through the 2023 season, and following Inter Miami’s failure to qualify for the MLS play-offs, their campaign is now over. So, when will Messi next be in action?

When is Lionel Messi's next game for Inter Miami?
Due to the MLS season being spread across a calendar year, Messi will now not play a competitive game of club football until 2024.
However, the MLS schedule for the 2024 campaign has not yet been released, meaning an exact date is not known regarding Messi’s next club appearance.
But, the David Beckham-owned club kicked off their 2023 season on February 16, with a 2-1 loss to Montreal, so it’s likely their first game of the 2024 campaign will take place around that time.
When is Lionel Messi's next game for Argentina?
Although Messi will not feature for Inter Miami until 2024, he will likely be in action for Argentina far sooner.
Lionel Scaloni’s side face Uruguay at home on November 17 in World Cup qualifying, while they travel to Brazil five days later on November 22. That game is also a World Cup qualifier.
