How much money will England make for winning the World Cup?

England go into the World Cup in Qatar as one of the favourites to win the tournament and there is a hefty bonus for the players should they go all the way.
The Three Lions have a favourable draw, with Iran, the United States of America and Wales in their group and they kick off their campaign on Monday with a tie against the Middle Eastern side.
Gareth Southgate has previously had two successful international tournaments with England, taking England to the semi-final of the World Cup in Russia and final of Euro 2020.

Now, he’ll be hoping to go all the way with his England side and will want to end his country’s 56-year wait for World Cup glory in Qatar.

It’s now been revealed that England players will receive £500,000 each from the Football Association if they manage to win the World Cup next month.
The FA have put aside £13 million for the players – almost double of what they had aside for the World Cup in Russia four years ago when they reached the semi-final before falling to Croatia in Moscow.

Manager Gareth Southgate is also due a hefty payment if he manages to steer his side to success – he will receive a £3 million bonus if they win their first World Cup since 1966.
This bonus is as high as other nations such as Germany and Belgium, according to the Mail, but still short of what Brazil offer thanks to their lucrative sponsorship with Nike.

England begin their campaign against Iran and have been in Qatar less than a week, joining up immediately after the Premier League season was halted last weekend.
Should they progress from their group, they will face one of Netherlands, Ecuador, Senegal or hosts Qatar in the last 16 of the tournament.
