Barcelona’s 16 representatives are mostly with Spain, including talented youngsters like Pedri, Gavi and Ansu Fati while more experienced names like Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Ferran Torres and Eric Garcia are also included.

They also have two players in the Dutch squad who are likely to have important roles as Frenkie de Jong and Memphis Depay are set for starting roles.

Manchester City’s 16 is the same as they had at the last World Cup four years ago when they had the most representatives out of any club.

England have five representatives from the Premier League champions: Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden, John Stones and Kalvin Phillips.

Other Manchester City players are at Portugal (three), Spain (two), and other World Cup contenders like Brazil and Germany.

Out of the 16 Bayern Munich players at the World Cup, seven of them play for Germany including Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller, Jamal Musiala, Leon Goretzka and more.

France have four representatives from Bayern Munich: Kingsley Coman, Dayot Upamecano, Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard.

The Germans would have been clear at the top had it not been for Sadio Mane’s injury, which has heartbreakingly forced him to miss the World Cup.

Al-Sadd of Qatar are the club with the next most representatives as they have 15 players at the World Cup: 13 of their players play for Qatar with the other two at South Korea and Ghana.

Behind them are Manchester United who have 14 at the World Cup and they are well-spread amongst nations, having three each at England, Brazil and Portugal with others at Denmark, Netherlands and Argentina.

Real Madrid are one behind them, once again have a good spread of nations, with three each at France and Brazil – including reigning Ballon d’Or holder Karim Benzema.

Three clubs have 12 players each: Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Al Hilal while five clubs have 11: Tottenham, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Ajax.

Arsenal and Sevilla have 10 players at the World Cup, wrapping up the list of clubs that have over 10 players playing at the tournament.
