Real Madrid transfer list FOUR stars
Ferland Mendy is one of four players Real Madrid have put on the transfer list this summer according to reports in Spain.
Mendy had been Real's first-choice left-back for much of his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu after joining in a €48 million transfer from Lyon in 2019, but last season he began to play second fiddle to French compatriot Eduardo Camavinga, a converted midfielder.
Madrid have already seen a number of big-name players leave this summer, with Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema joining Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia on a €100m-per-year deal, and the club's record signing Eden Hazard released a year before the end of his contract.

Despite shedding two significant salaries, Real still need to balance the books after spending an initial €103m on Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham, and they have now transfer listed four players, including Mendy.

Madrid fire sale?
"Real Madrid have placed Ferland Mendy, Alvaro Odriozola and Jesus Vallejo on the transfer market," report Cadena SER. "They are also open to offers for Lucas Vazquez."
Mendy is the most valuable of the players listed. The France international is rated at €35.9m by FootballTransfers' in-house algorithm. It is expected that Odriozola, Vallejo and Vazquez could fetch around €15m combined.

Carlo Ancelotti has previously said he would like Mendy to remain at the club, but Premier League trio Manchester City, Arsenal and Newcastle United have since been linked with a move for the 28-year-old.
Real have also been linked with a blockbuster move for Kylian Mbappe this summer, with a world record free floated by the @psgcommunity_ Twitter channel, but he will be available on a free transfer next summer and stands to gain up to €275m by seeing out his contract.
Real have already signed veteran striker Joselu on loan from Espanyol as a nominal Benzema replacement, while Brazilian prodigy Endrick will join in the summer of 2024 when he turns 18.
