Manchester United are willing to sell Jadon Sancho with Aston Villa keen on the player, FootballTransfers can reveal.

Sources have informed us that, after a tricky two-year spell, the winger will now be allowed to leave Old Trafford.

Man Utd are demanding £60 million (€70m) for Sancho. At the moment, the Midlands club are not willing to buy the Englishman for that price, but negotiations could well take place and a compromise reached between the two parties.

The 23-year-old clocks in at an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €55.4m in our in-house algorithm, so the side from Birmingham are well within their right to request United to lower their asking price.

We are told that there is nothing to the rumours of Tottenham Hotspur wanting the player, but that Villa, who are close to bringing in Monchi from Sevilla in a sporting director capacity, are very interested.

Sancho's Manchester nightmare

United's sizeable asking price is informed by their original outlay on Sancho. The Manchester City academy graduate was signed off the back of several scintillating campaigns with Borussia Dortmund for a hefty fee of €85m.

Sancho, however, has not been able to live up to his price tag at Old Trafford. Fitness and mental issues as well as underwhelming performances have marred his time on the red side of Manchester.

In 79 games, the winger has hit just 12 goals and six assists. He was even sent on an individual training trip to the Netherlands late last year to clear his mind, but his performances have not markedly improved since.

The final straw for United boss Erik ten Hag was the FA Cup final against Manchester City in which the manager felt that the 23-year-old was not up to scratch.

This decision was compounded by the breathless display of 18-year-old winger Alejandro Garnacho, who the manager believes can be a regular starter for the Premier League club next season.
