Barcelona are considering a move for Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix and Ansu Fati could be offered in exchange, according to reports.

The Catalans are weighing up whether to part ways with their winger, with Felix heading to them.

Reporter Helena Condis Edo revealed on Partidazo Cope that Barca might attempt the deal later in the transfer window.

Felix has publicly expressed his desire to play for Barcelona, releasing a statement about his love for the club.

The only trouble is that it’s thought coach Xavi is not a huge fan of the 23-year-old. Superagent Jorge Mendes represents both Felix and Fait and could facilitate a deal. The agent is also involved in getting Manchester City fullback Joao Cancelo to the Nou Camp.

Felix spent an unsuccessful loan spell at Chelsea, joining the Premier League outfit in January.

He is looking for a way out of Atletico but Barcelona's financial situation means that a deal would be hard to do.

Felix had hoped to remain at Chelsea but the club opted not to pursue a permanent deal with Atletico and so he reported back for pre-season with Diego Simeone earlier this month.

Fabrizio Romano Felix bombshell

Fabrizio Romano said of the situation last month on his YouTube channel: “Now it’s really important to mention that Joao Felix, in a direct conversation I just had a few minutes ago, told me: ‘I want to go to Barcelona.”

“Joao Felix told me this very clear statement, he added that Barcelona is the biggest dream of his life since he was a kid and it’s his first choice on the market.

“These are the words from Joao Felix, he added at the end of the conversation that if this happens it would be a dream come true.”
