Man Utd 'pushing the hardest' for Bayern Munich's Kane alternative
Manchester United are said to be the club pushing hardest for Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani despite strong interest from Bayern Munich.
Kolo Muani has emerged as a standout performer in the Bundesliga this season, grabbing 13 goals and 10 assists in 28 appearances – more goal contributions than any other player.
The 24-year-old’s performances earned him a call up to France’s 2022 World Cup squad and he has since attracted the attention of Europe’s top sides, who are looking to test Frankfurt’s resolve for their star man this summer.

Frankfurt are believed to be holding out for €100 million for Kolo Muani while the player himself has yet to make a decision on his future, with his representatives exploring the options available.
United are in the market for a number nine this summer and have sounded out Kolo Muani as a potential option, although Bayern will look to contest with the English side and have held ‘very positive’ talks over a transfer.
Sky Sport Germany reporter Florian Plettenburg has claimed that United are ‘pushing the hardest’ for Kolo Muani, however Tottenham striker Harry Kane – also wanted by Bayern – is believed to be the club’s number one target.
The rise of Randal Kolo Muani
Kolo Muani has enjoyed a breakout campaign so far having joined Frankfurt last summer from Nantes on a free transfer and his side currently sit 9th in the Bundesliga.
The versatile forward has drawn comparisons to Thierry Henry due to his ability to play out wide while also being tall and speedy with a versatile attacking style.

While United are searching for an out-and-out striker, Kolo Muani’s presence on the flanks would allow greater flexibility with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony.
However, Bayern too are looking for a forward to replace Robert Lewandowski, who left for Barcelona last year, and they may have the edge over United by keeping Kolo Muani in Germany, where he is settled and proving his ability.
