Agent confirms Man Utd made bid for Serie A star
Sofyan Amrabat has been in high demand since his World Cup heroics with Morocco, and the midfielder's agent has confirmed that Manchester United tried to sign him from Fiorentina in January.
Amrabat was one of Morocco's star players as the Atlas Lions reached the semi-finals in Qatar, becoming the first African team ever to reach that stage of the competition.
The Fiorentina man has been in high demand since, with Barcelona the most closely linked with a move after the player was pictured, as a fan, attending their meeting with Getafe in January.

But they were far from the only interested party, with Manchester United also lodging a bid for the Netherlands-born 26-year-old.
