Chelsea are reportedly keen to offload Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah, potentially generating a combined fee of £100m (€116.4m).

It’s been another big-spending window for the Blues, whose summer transfer outlay exceeds €400m (£343.7m).

But they have made sales of only €253.9m (£218.2m) – so they could do with selling more players to help balance their books (or at least go some way towards doing so).

According to Ben Jacobs of CaughtOffside, Chelsea are still hoping to get Gallagher and Chalobah off their books late in the window.

Gallagher has started all three of the Blues’ games so far this season under new boss Mauricio Pochettino, but the recent double arrival of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia has significantly increased competition for places in midfield.

Chalobah, though, has yet to feature this term due to a hamstring injury – although he was heavily involved in pre-season.

Chelsea’s summer exodus to grow?

Bayern Munich have been linked with both Gallagher and Chalobah, with the Bundesliga champions said to have already had a loan approach for the latter turned down.

West Ham and Everton have been touted as potential landing spots for Gallagher, who finally broke through at Chelsea last season after a scintillating loan spell with Crystal Palace in the 2021/22 campaign.

Chelsea have seen a number of big-name players depart already this summer: Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly and N’Golo Kante have all headed to the Saudi Pro League, with Kai Havertz and Mateo Kovacic joining Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester City respectively.

The Blues have made a mixed start to the new season, drawing one, losing one and winning one of their three games so far.
