Arsenal to battle Newcastle and PSG for €50m Bundesliga star
Arsenal face competition from Newcastle and PSG in the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby this summer.
The 23-year-old France international has been one of Leverkusen star men in recent seasons – but he is set to be without Champions League football next season, as Xabi Alonso’s side sit eight points outside the Bundesliga top four with just three games to go.
Given that, the former PSG man – whose contract in Germany runs until the end of the 2024/25 campaign – might just have one eye on a move during the upcoming transfer window.

However, he could come at a substantial cost to any would-be buyer: according to L’Equipe, Leverkusen are reluctant to sell Diaby – their top scorer this term with 14 goals in all competitions.
The report adds that as such, it would take an offer in excess of €50m to sway Die Werkself to part with one of their most prized assets.
Our in-house Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) model currently values Diaby – who joined Leverkusen for €15m back in 2019 – at €59.8m.

Diaby's dual attacking threat
In 167 appearances for Leverkusen, Diaby – who turns 24 in July – has almost 100 goal involvements to his name: 49 goals and 48 assists – including nine of each in the Bundesliga this campaign.
He won his first of 10 caps for France in 2021 – although he didn’t make the cut for Didier Deschamps’ 2022 World Cup squad.
Born in Paris, Diaby came through PSG’s youth system and, after a loan spell with Crotone in Serie A, made his senior debut for the Ligue 1 giants at the age of 19.
