Marseille confirm Milik negotiations
Marseille sporting director Pablo Longoria has confirmed that the club are in talks to sign Napoli outcast Arkadiusz Milik.
Milik is in the final year of his contract at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona and has been frozen out of the club this season.
The Poland international is eager to find a new team in January in order to ensure he goes to Euro 2020 with his national team.
A number of clubs around Europe are interested in his services, including the likes of Juventus, Inter and West Ham.
However, Marseille have confirmed they have held talks for the striker.
“This is a transfer window where everyone is a little impatient, but our strategy is to keep cool heads,” Longoria told Telefoot.
“We are working on a few different alternatives for the attack. We’ve been talking for many days about the possibility of signing Milik, who is among the best strikers in Europe, but we are working on alternatives too.
“Our objective for the transfer window is to be prepared, but above all show patience, because patience wins in this game.”
Milik has scored 48 goals in 122 games since joining Napoli from Ajax in 2016 but has not played a single minute this campaign.
