Ramos: No amount of money could make me move to Barcelona
Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has admitted that no amount of money could convince him to move to Barcelona this summer.
The 34-year-old central defender has established himself as one of the world’s best players since making the move from Sevilla to the Spanish capital 16 years ago.
However, with his Madrid contract due to expire at the end of the season, speculation has begun to build around Ramos’ future at the club.
Reports across Europe have linked the defender with moves to Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and even Bayern Munich.
And while Ramos was non-committal on whether he’d be playing for Madrid next season, he was more than happy to rule out a move to Barcelona in the summer.
“There is no option of signing for Barcelona,” said Ramos in an interview with Ibai Llan on Twitch.
“I’m fond of [Joan] Laporta, I met him once and I liked him. But there are things in life that money can’t buy, it’s impossible.”

Could Lionel Messi join Ramos at Madrid next season?
While Ramos may be happy to rule out crossing the divide and moving to Barcelona, he was a little more jovial on the topic of Lionel Messi coming the other way and moving to Madrid next season.
Like Ramos, Messi’s contract situation at Barcelona means he’s currently allowed to speak to other clubs about potential offers and could make the move to another club at the end of the season for free.
While the list of clubs that have reportedly shown an interest in Messi has been limited to the super-rich sides like PSG and Manchester City, Ramos did allow himself to ponder over the possibility of Messi signing on the dotted line for Madrid.
“I’d set up my house for him if necessary if he decides to come while he finds something,” joked the Madrid star during the Twitch interview, when asked about where Messi could potentially end up next season.
