Real Madrid must somehow sign Mbappe and Haaland, says club legend Hugo Sanchez
Real Madrid must do everything possible to sign both Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland this summer, according to legendary striker Hugo Sanchez.
Mbappe and Haaland are the two hottest properties in world football at the moment due to their continued excellence with Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund respectively, with both tipped to make big-money transfers in the summer of 2021.

The pair are actually coveted by a lot of the same teams, with Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Liverpool among the clubs credited with an interest over the past 12 months.
Mbappe has been linked with a move to Madrid since his Monaco days as he was a fan of the club, and Cristiano Ronaldo in particular, when he was a young man.
It seemed a foregone conclusion that the World Cup winner would end up at the Santiago Bernabeu, but Haaland’s exploits have put a spanner in the works as Madrid are now desperate to sign him, too.
Although the more likely scenario would be Los Blancos having to decide between the pair, Sanchez wants them to do all they can to sign both.
“Haaland is the best young scorer and he can play with Mbappe and [Karim] Benzema. Madrid has to have a way of having both of them,” the Mexican said on El Larguero.
Sanchez on Vinicius Junior
Last week, Vinicius Junior put in one of his best performances in a Real Madrid shirt as he put Liverpool to the sword with two goals in the Champions League quarter-final first leg tie between the two sides in the Spanish capital.
The Brazilian has had plenty of critics throughout his short Madrid career, with many pundits accusing him of lacking adequate decision making in the final third.
Sanchez thinks there is a player in there, but believes Vinicius Jr needs to work hard on the training pitch to improve.
“He has a lot of quality and talent, but he lacks precision in the last pass,” the Madrid legend said of Vinicius Jr.
“There is a Vinicius before and after Liverpool. If I were his coach, I would train shots on goal for two hours [a day]. To be in Madrid you have to be the best in everything. If you have ten occasions you have to mark ten.
“He needs to improve.”
