Could Riyad Mahrez leave Man City? The Algerian comments on his future
Riyad Mahrez has been discussing his future at Manchester City and it seems like fans of the Premier League side will be able to enjoy his talents for years to come.
The Algerian has been superb for Man City this season, particularly after the turn of the year, scoring 14 goals and recording seven assists in 36 starts in all competitions.

In the recent Champions League semi-final tie against Paris Saint-Germain, he scored one goal in the first leg in Paris and then another two in the second leg at the Etihad.
This season he has indeed been linked with a move away from Man City, however, with PSG and Real Madrid credited with an interest in a potential summer swoop.
If Mahrez has his way, though, he’ll be staying at Man City until he hangs up his boots.
“My future? I feel very good at Man City. There is no desire to look elsewhere,” he told RMC.
“I don’t know yet what my situation will be. But I’m happy in city and that’s where I want to be.”
A move to Marseille has also been mentioned, but Mahrez has shot down those rpeorts, saying: “No, that’s not something I tell myself. I want to end my career in England and Manchester City. So that’s not something that I am considering.”
Title winner
Mahrez has now one the Premier League title on three occasions – once with Leicester City and twice with Man City.
Although he recognises the latest victory in 2020/21 as special, the historic championship win with the Foxes will always have a special place in his heart.
“The Leicester title was the very first one I won and with a team not at all expected to achieve that. It will always remain a special memory,” the Algerian explained.
“Now, with City, it’s really not easy to win the league.
“Every year, the competitions pushes us. When Liverpool took our title from us, we weren’t happy. And that motivated us. So this title is also very special.”
Mahrez and Man City have the opportunity to win their first ever Champions League crown in a couple of weeks when they take on fellow Premier League side Chelsea in Porto.
