If Man Utd or Man City pay up, Pau Torres will leave, says Villarreal president

The president of Villarreal, Fernando Roig, has opened the door for Manchester United or Manchester City to potentially sign Pau Torres this summer – as long as they are prepared to pay what his club wants.
This week Torres was part of the Villarreal team that defeated Man Utd in the Europa League final to win not only their first European trophy, but the first major trophy in the club’s history.

After the game remained at 1-1 after extra-time, the Yellow Submarine won on penalties after Man Utd goalkeeper David de Gea missed the deciding spotkick.
Torres was excellent in the game as he further enhanced his reputation as one of the best young defenders in Europe at the moment.
His performances have led to links with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool as well as the two Manchester sides.
When asked recently about the interest in Torres, Roig suggested a deal could happen if all three parties agree on the details, specifically the fee.
“If they arrive with the money and the player wants to move,” Roig told Spanish radio show El Transistor when asked about the possibility of a deal.
“But there must be an agreement between all three parties.”
What has Torres said?
Torres is a Villarreal fan and although he seems content at the club for the moment, he has refused to rule out a big money move, mentioning Barcelona and Real Madrid in particular.
“It’s a pride to see that your work is reflected in these kind of things that are talked about,” he told Sport.
“But I face it with a lot of calm, I’m in a great club like Villarreal, and from the tranquillity, I work every day.”
“Both Barca and Madrid are big teams in La Liga, they fight for all the titles every year, and they are both big clubs.”
The 24-year-old is believed to have a release clause of around €60 million.
