Ter Stegen advises Haaland AGAINST Barcelona move this summer
Marc-Andre ter Stegen has advised Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland to stay with the German side this summer amid continued interest from Barcelona and other elite sides.
Haaland is one of the hottest properties in world football at the moment and is wanted by every elite club in Europe following his exploits for RB Salzburg and now Dortmund.

Since moving to Dortmund in January of 2019, the Norwegian has started 54 games for the German side and scored an incredible 53 goals, while he also recently broke the record for the shortest amount of time to reach 20 Champions League goals, beating the record previously held by Kylian Mbappe.
Haaland allegedly has a release clause in his contract that allows him to leave in the summer of 2020 for £66 million, but his talents are so clear that teams are prepared to pay more than double that amount to land him a year early.
Barcelona are one of the clubs desperate to land him, but Ter Stegen has surprisingly advised him to remain with Dortmund.
.
“Haaland would make any team in the world better,” he told SPORT1.
“But why not to stay in Dortmund for another year?
“Dortmund are a very well-managed club. It would not be a step backwards at all…”
Who could sign Haaland?
As well as Barcelona; Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich have all been credited with an interest in Haaland.
However, now that the European Super League idea has been scrapped and the income that comes with it gone, several of these sides are not in the financial position to afford Haaland this summer – Barcelona and Real Madrid especially.
The first team that Haaland’s representatives allegedly met was Barcelona, but that is when the Blaugrana were expecting major income from the Super League which now doesn’t exist.
The same could be said for Real Madrid.
Should he move this summer for huge money instead of next summer for his buyout, it seems likely that his destination will be one of Man Utd, Man City or Chelsea.
