Kane breaks his silence over Tottenham standoff

Harry Kane has broken his silence on the standoff at Tottenham, which has seen the media report that he has refused to train at the club.
Instead, the England international striker has danced around the situation, refusing to get into the specifics of why he has missed training this week.
Kane is apparently in dispute with Spurs over his future at the club, which he called into question before the summer when speaking to England legend Gary Neville in an interview with Sky Sports.

Manchester City have been particularly linked with him in recent weeks, despite signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa for a Premier League record £100 million.
After a week of criticism directed towards him, the Tottenham academy product has taken to social media to release a statement firing back.
"It's almost ten years since I made my Spurs debut. For every one of those years, you - the fans - have shown me totally support and love," he said.
"That's why it hurts to read some of the comments that have been made this week, questioning my professionalism.

"While I won't go into the specifics of the situation, I want to clarify that I would never, and have never, refused to train. I will be returning to the club tomorrow [Saturday], as planned.
"I wouldn't do anything to jeopardise the relationship I have with the fans who have given me such unwavering support during my time with the club. This has always been the case as it is today."

“I want to be playing in the biggest games, in the biggest moments,” he said.
“This season, I’ve been watching the Champions League, watching the English teams and they’re doing amazing. They’re the games I want to be involved in.
“So for sure, it’s a moment in my career where I have to reflect and see where I’m at and have a good honest conversation with the chairman. I’m sure he’ll want to set out a plan of where he see it, but ultimately it’s going to be down to me and how I feel and what’s going to be best for me in my career at this moment in time.”
Meanwhile, his failure to show for training this week, which has gone unexplained, has split pundits, with Jamie Carragher and Rio Ferdinand clashing on Twitter over his tactics.
Despite Kane's latest statement, though, his future at Tottenham remains highly in question.
