OFFICIAL: Juventus sign Moise Kean from Everton
Juventus have completed the signing of Moise Kean on a two-year loan from Everton, with the deal becoming permanent if certain conditions are met.
The Bianconeri lost Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United over the last days, with the legendary Portuguese attacker completing a return to the club he played with between 2003 and 2009.
Juventus have acted quickly to replace Ronaldo, and like Man Utd they have gone with what they know by acquiring former player Kean.
The Old Lady will pay €7 million for a two-year loan, and they will be obligated to sign the striker permanently for €28m - plus a possible €3m in bonuses - if certain conditions are met.
The 21-year-old left Juve for Everton in the summer of 2019 for €27.5m, plus €2.5 million in add-ons.
His goalscoring return was poor in his first season as he scored just two in 33 appearances.
That led to a surprise loan move to Paris Saint-Germain for the 2020/21 season, and he impressed in the French capital, scoring 13 goals in 26 games in Ligue 1, regularly keeping big money signing Mauro Icardi out of the side.
Kean was linked with a permanent move to PSG, but any talk of that evaporated after they secured the free transfer signing of Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo's replacement
Though it remains to be seen whether Kean will feature as Ronaldo's automatic replacement, it is clear Juve has identified the need for reinforcements after the Portuguese international's departure.
Kean will be competing for minutes in the centre-forward position with Alvaro Morata and Paulo Dybala, although he may also be deployed on the wing.
He has previously commented on his admiration for Massimiliano Allegri, who is back as Juventus boss now after two years away himself.
“I had a lot of important coaches at Juve, including Fabio Grosso at the youth team and [Massimiliano] Allegri, who put his faith in me despite the fact I was a bit of a hot-head at the time… He let me play, he believed in me. I will always be grateful,” Kean said in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I really liked Allegri. He had this way of joking with you, and you’d laugh, but then later think about it and realise he was trying to tell you something important. He helped me so much.
“I will be honest, I was a bit disappointed to leave Juve. I grew up there, I don’t know where I’d be now without that club. Then I realised this is the life of a football player and had to accept it. Juve will always remain in my heart.”
Now, Kean is back at the Allianz Stadium.
