'Unstoppable' Salah better than Messi and Ronaldo, says ex-Liverpool forward

Mohamed Salah is the world's best player, ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, according to former Liverpool forward Dean Saunders.
The Egyptian scored two goals in the Reds' 5-1 win over Porto in last night's Champions League group stage match, adding to a highly impressive start to the 2021/22 campaign.
Indeed, Salah has eight goals and two assists in just eight appearances this season.

And, in fact, some people think the 29-year-old has moved ahead of the game's other top players with his fine form.
''Right now, as we speak, who’s better than him?'' Saunders told talkSPORT.
''Eight goals in eight games from right-wing, he’s not playing down the middle.
''He just looks unstoppable.
''There’s Messi and Ronaldo, who are on their own, but right now they’re not as good as Salah''
Saunders was then asked to confirm he'd take Salah over Manchester United legend Ronaldo, to which he responded: ''Right now, Salah.''
''It’s easy to say Ronaldo, but right now Salah looks like he’s going to score every week''
How do Messi and Ronaldo's starts to the season compare?
Messi had gotten off to a slow start, by his exceptional standards, after his summer move to Paris saint-Germain.
However, in his fourth appearance for the Ligue 1 outfit, he linked up with Real Madrid target Kylian Mbappe before scoring a remarkable goal in a 2-0 victory over Manchester City on Tuesday.

And, as for Ronaldo, the Portuguese striker has also provided some magic in the opening fixtures of his return to Old Trafford.
Two goals on debut and another against West Ham leaves the forward on three in three in the Premier League, with a golden boot race versus Salah and Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku on the cards.
And as it looks like there will be a close-fought title race in the Premier League this season, the goals scored by three of the world's top marksmen could be the difference when it is all said and done.
