The Bayern Munich striker has found the back of the net an incredible 30 times in the Bundesliga this calendar year.

Recently turned 33, Lewandowski is showing no signs of slowing down. He was the European Golden Boot winner in the 2020-21 season after scoring 41 times.

This current campaign, Lewandowski already has six goals in four Bundesliga games.

The next top-scorer in 2021 is Lionel Messi, who has struck 23 times.

All those 23 goals came for now former team Barcelona. Messi joined PSG this summer on a free transfer but has only made one substitute appearance for his new team.

Who is Europe’s top scorer in 2021?

Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich): 30

Lionel Messi (Barcelona & PSG): 23

Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund): 22

Dusan Vlahovic (Fiorentina): 20

Karim Benzema (Real Madrid): 20

Andre Silva (Frankfurt & RB Leipzig): 20

In third place, on 22 goals, is Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Erling Haaland.

The Norwegian striker is wanted by all of Europe’s top clubs and it’s easy to see why with such an impressive goal record.

In fourth place is a young striker who has exploded in 2021. Dusan Vlahovic has found the net 20 times for Fiorentina, including three in three games this current season.

Vlahovic received €70 million-plus bids from Atletico Madrid and Tottenham this past summer and, despite negotiating a new contract, is likely to leave for a big club at the end of the season.

Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and RB Leipzig’s Andre Silva also both have 20 goals this year, with the latter transferring to his current club from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.

Also among the best top-scorers in Europe’s big five leagues are Cristiano Ronaldo (19 goals for Juventus and new club Man Utd), Romelu Lukaku (16 goals for Inter and Chelsea) and Harry Kane (14 goals for Tottenham).
