Barcelona mercilessly mocked on social media for Adama Traore signing
Barcelona have been mercilessly trolled on social media after the surprise signing of Adama Traore from Wolves.
On Saturday evening, Barcelona confirmed that they had brought back the Wolves winger on loan.
The club have an option to sign the wideman in the summer for a fee of around €30 million.
The Spanish winger was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur all month, however the former La Masia graduate instead opted for a return to Catalunya.
The move has not proven too popular with fans, with social media full of supporters and opposition critics mocking the signing.
Traore has just one goal and no assists in his last 23 games for Wolves, with many questioning how Barca could opt for a player with such a poor record.
It has been referenced how Barca have been scouting players from modest teams they never would have done so in the past.
Imagine time travelling back to 2017 and telling Adama Traore & Martin Braithwaite that in 5 years time, they could line up for Barcelona at the Camp Nou, being managed by Xavi, and not playing for Garry Monk's Middlesbrough in the Championship.

Many also believe that given Traore’s physique and his preference for playing in space, he is not suited to Barcelona coach Xavi’s tiki-taka short passing game.

Indeed, Traore’s huge muscles and his massive upper body have been highlighted humorously.

Some fans couldn’t help but poke fun at Ousmane Dembele’s dreadful injury record whilst they were at it!
