Alexandre Lacazette has confirmed he is discussions with several clubs to join them in the summer, as he edges closer to a departure from Arsenal.

The French forward is out of contract this summer, and it’s likely that Arsenal won’t extend his stay, with the player having been at the club since 2017.

There are several clubs interested in bringing the 30-year-old, and here are five of them he could move to in the summer.

Where could Lacazette move this summer?

Atletico Madrid

Arsenal fought it out with Atletico Madrid to secure Lacazette’s signature in 2017, and the reigning Spanish champions could reignite their interest in the coming summer.

Atletico Madrid are likely to lose Luis Suarez this summer, with the Uruguayan set to depart the Wanda Metropolitano, and they could look for a replacement on a free transfer.

Coach Diego Simeone has seemingly been a long-time admirer of the Frenchman, so a deal to bring him to Madrid would make sense.

Sevilla

Another La Liga side that would be interested in Lacazette is Sevilla, who may have two spaces open in their forward line this summer.

Youssef En-Nesyri is attracting interest, while Anthony Martial’s below-par loan spell will not be extended, with the forward set to return to Manchester United come the summer.

That would open up a space, and a cost-effective option like Lacazette would make an ideal addition for a club that will be in the Champions League next season.

Barcelona

A final La Liga option but perhaps less likely than the other two is Barcelona, who were reportedly interested in Lacazette earlier in the season.

A move to the Camp Nou will largely depend on the competition for places, with the club having signed two forwards earlier in the season in the form of Ferran Torres and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Should Lacazette move to the Blaugrana, though, he will reunite with his former Arsenal team-mate, Aubameyang.

Lyon

The club that Lacazette moved from could be one he returns too – Lacazette has long spoken of his admiration for the French side, and that could tempt a return.

However, Lacazette has made it clear he wants to play for a club in the Champions League, and that seems unlikely for Lyon next season.

Lyon currently sit eighth in Ligue 1 and could miss European football altogether next season if they don’t pick up in the final six matches of the season.

Milan

Finally, a club in Serie A and one that is likely to be in the Champions League, this would be a suitable option for Lacazette.

Milan are in need of a forward for next season to compete with Olivier Giroud, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s impact on the side reducing.

A free option like Lacazette would certainly be useful to fill up the gap in the team.
