Erling Haaland transfer: How much commission is Raiola asking?

Erling Haaland’s entourage is demanding a commission worth a stunning €70 million when he moves this summer, according to Bild.
Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola is asking for €40m from this amount, while the Borussia Dortmund striker’s father Alf-Inge will take home €30m.

This will take the total cost of his transfer to past the €300m mark.
Haaland has a €75m release clause in his Dortmund contract that will be activated this summer. This will be his transfer fee.

The 21-year-old is also requesting a contract worth around €40m per season.
Therefore, a five-year-contract will set back his next team €200m, although there are also reports he would prefer a shorter contract of two to three years.
Virtually every top club in Europe is interested in signing Haaland, including Manchester United, Bayern Munich, PSG and, until their recent ownership problems, Chelsea.

But it is Real Madrid, Man City and Barcelona who have for some time been in the lead for his signature.
Until the last month, Madrid and Man City were considered to be ahead in the race for Haaland.

But Barcelona then made a big push of their own at the start of March, with Blaugrana coach Xavi even meeting the player in Munich.
FootballTransfers understands that Barcelona have since pulled out of the race to sign Haaland due to their unwillingness to give him a short-term contract.
But sections of the Spanish media continue to insist that Barcelona are very much fighting to sign the giant striker.
Bild adds, though, that the commission that Raiola and Haaland Sr are asking for makes any transfer to Barcelona very unlikely.
Barcelona have had some well-documented financial problems over the last year or so and are believed to be €1.3 billion in debt.
They therefore have to be very careful on how they spend their money this summer.
