Florentino Perez teases Mbappe to Real Madrid transfer

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has teased the transfer arrival of Kylian Mbappe as he celebrates the club’s La Liga victory.
It has been widely accepted for several months now that Mbappe will join Madrid this summer on a Bosman transfer when his contract at PSG expires.
The 23-year-old has repeatedly rejected offers of an extension at the Parc des Princes, although he has persistently insisted that he has not yet decided whether to stay or leave.

It was reported earlier this week that Mbappe would finally announce that he is joining Madrid after PSG’s final game of the season on May 21.
And Perez has now teased Mbappe’s arrival with a cryptic message when asked if the attacker was joining.

"I hadn't thought about it but now that you mention it, it might be true and so on," Perez said on Saturday.
"When we plan next year's squad we'll see."
Mbappe attempted to push through a €150 million-plus move last summer to Madrid, the club he supported as a kid.
The transfer didn’t go through, with both Mbappe and Madrid happy to wait another year.

Perez also commented on Madrid’s title victory as their 4-0 win over Espanyol clinched the 35th La Liga trophy in their history.
It also meant that coach Carlo Ancelotti became the first coach ever to win the league in Italy, England, France, Germany, and in Spain.
"He has a lot of experience in coaching squads and there is always someone who criticises something," Florentino said, in response to those who weren’t impressed by Ancelotti’s return last summer.
"But his identification with Real Madrid is great, with our values and with what we represent, and that is important in a coach.
"Maybe [Ancelotti didn't expect the job offer]. As soon as we called him he said 'I'm running', that's what he said.
"And talking to him in the last few days, he told me that he has coached many teams and he says that the difference is that at Real Madrid the players are fans of the club, and that is a plus."
