Phil Foden to sign new Man City contract: The details revealed
Phil Foden will become one of the highest-paid youngsters on the planet with his new Manchester City contract.
Phil Foden is set to sign a six-year deal with Manchester City that will see him earn £225,000/€270,000 per week at the Etihad, which will lift him above the likes of Ederson, Bernardo Sillva and Riyad Mahrez in City's pay scale.
The poster boy of City's academy, Stockport-born Foden first broke into the first-team in 2018 and has grown in influence ever since. His first pro contract saw him earn £30,000 per week, meaning his current deal will see him multiply that by more than seven times.

The Daily Mail report that an announcement on the new contract is expected to come either this week or next.
"An offer had been on the table for a number of months but bosses at the Etihad Stadium are delighted with what they feel is a significant boost ahead of the new season," they write.
Foden firing at the right time?
The deal is also a boost for England manager Gareth Southgate, with Foden's club future secure ahead of the coming winter World Cup in Qatar.
Foden contributed 14 goals and 11 assists in all competitions last season; with nine and five in each column as Pep Guardiola's side won the Premier League a point clear of Liverpool. He has two goals in 16 outings with England.
Asked to fill in as a False 9 for much of the 2021/22 campaign, the arrival of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund might impinge on Foden's minutes in attack, but with Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus leaving for Chelsea and Arsenal respectively, Foden is set to feature prominently elsewhere in the final third.
Kevin De Bruyne remains City's highest-paid player earning €24.4m/£20.8m a year. He is joined on that particular podium by Haaland (€22.83m/£19.5m) and Jack Grealish (€18.3m/£15.6m).
