Ten Hag joins search for new Man Utd keeper following stormy Henderson exit

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag will do all they can to aid his club in their search for a new back-up to goalkeeper David de Gea.
The Reds have been left short between the posts following Dean Henderson's furious departure, which included a public excoriation of the club for failing to give him the first-team minutes he was supposedly promised.

Henderson will now play the 2022-23 season on loan at Nottingham Forest, and United are scrambling as their Premier League campaign begins with a visit to Brighton on Sunday.
According to the Sun, the club has been forced to put a stop to any further outgoing transfer involving goalkeepers.
That means that for now youngster Nathan Bishop will not be heading out for another loan switch, while Tom Heaton, 36, will also stay put and sit on the bench on Sunday as the only other goalkeeper available to Ten Hag in his first-team squad.
With regards to signings, both goalkeeping scout Tony Coton and the manager are said to have their preferences, though United are concerned the latter's choices may be too expensive as De Gea's deputy.
Henderson fuming at Man Utd snub
Henderson, meanwhile, who began his Forest career by conceding twice in Saturday's 2-0 reverse to Newcastle United, held nothing back in slamming the United management for their treatment of him.
“To waste 12 months was criminal really, at my age. I was fuming. It was so frustrating," he fired to TalkSport at the beginning of August, while claiming that he had no intention of working under Ten Hag.
“I didn’t really want the manager to see me in training because I knew he’d probably want to keep me.
“I told all the hierarchy: ‘I need to go and play football. I don’t want to be playing second fiddle’.
“And it panned out so I was almost gone before the manager came in.”
