Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland were among the stars named in the FIFPRO Best Men’s XI at the 2022 Best FIFA Awards.

Messi was named as the best men’s player of the year after leading Argentina to 2022 World Cup success while Mbappe was the tournament’s top scorer.

Haaland has been the most prolific scorer in the world this season for Manchester City and was voted up front in an unorthodox formation that featured four attackers.

Thibaut Courtois was named in goal of the XI despite missing out on the best goalkeeper award to Argentina’s Emiliano Martinez.

Manchester United's Casemiro was selected in midfield alongside former Real Madrid teammate Luka Modric, with Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne also sealing a spot.
