Klopp predicts 'tricky' transfer window for Liverpool - here's what he will do
Jurgen Klopp has outlined his plans for the summer window and detailed why the club chose not to be rash and bring in any more fresh faces during the January transfer window.
The German boss was asked about the dip in form of the club at a press conference.
He explained that the reason Liverpool opted not to spend more was that they wanted to make absolutely sure about a player and the side did not know at that point who would be leaving.

He said: "It was always clear - our transfers have to always be on point. We can't make four transfers before we know who's going to leave the club. I knew it was going to be tricky - that's one of the reasons why I signed the new contract. So people wouldn’t say: ‘And he leaves next year.’ Not because I’m that great. Just imagine this same situation with another coach. Everyone would say ‘Bring Klopp back’.”
We were told a big overhaul is ahead for Liverpool in the summer and they will be able to bring in some quality in the upcoming window.
Their number one target is Jude Bellingham but they will also look to bring in other quality players to their ranks.
Liverpool woes
The contingent of Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, and Darwin Nunez looks to be ticking along nicely again but the problems are still there for all to see in the midfield and defence.
As such, there has been criticism of the side and their recent displays. Despite astute displays against Everton and Newcastle in the Premier League, the side capitulated against Real Madrid in the Champions League, getting hammered 5-2 at Anfield in the first leg of the round of 16.
"I can't switch the media off for them,” Klopp said. They know how to deal with it. It's not the first setback. Yes, it feels like we've had a few too many. When you lose, you have to get rid of it. I don't know many who would have used our mistakes like Read did."
