PSG now want to break up Neymar, Messi and Mbappe
Paris Saint-Germain are growing increasingly tired of the Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe contingent.
French outlet Le Parisien reports that their lack of volume of defensive work is causing the club issues, even if their individual outputs in terms of goals and assists remain high.
It comes after PSG’s win over Lille, where they played poorly but were able to earn all three points thanks to Messi’s fine free-kick.

The game saw them ship three goals, as they ran out 4-3 winners. It is thought that the side’s poor defence cannot be ignored and now personnel have taken notice that the joint presence of Neymar, Mbappe and Messi comes at the expense of the side shipping goals.
The idea of breaking up the trio is now being talked about. Compound this with the fact that PSG must sell some players in the summer window as they are being monitored by UEFA’s Financial Fair Play watchdog.
Mbappe, it is hoped, will remain - amid interest from Real Madrid, who he turned down last year to sign fresh terms with his current side.
Neymar and Messi’s futures up in the air
But Neymar and Messi’s futures look a bit more suspect. The Brazilian attacker had been linked to Chelsea earlier this month. Todd Boehly reportedly flew to Paris last week to discuss Neymar's future with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
They spoke ahead of the French side's 1-0 defeat by Bayern Munich in the Champions League. However, at present, Neymar is under contract with PSG until 2027 and it’s believed he wants to remain in the French capital for the foreseeable future.
As we reported earlier this week, Messi remains in talks with PSG over a fresh deal - his contract up in June of this year. He has not held talks with any other club at this point.
