Salah’s agent responds to Liverpool transfer rumours
Mohamed Salah’s agent has blasted a report stating that the Liverpool star was planning a move away from Anfield should the club fail to reach the Champions League this season.
Liverpool, who are seventh in the Premier League and nine points adrift of Tottenham in fourth place, have endured a torrid campaign and a place in the European competition seems out of reach for them at this point.
Consequently, there have been suggestions that Salah may look elsewhere if Jurgen Klopp’s side fall outside the top-four bracket.

But the story has been slammed by Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, who rubbished the suggestion.
He took to Twitter, writing: "Nonsense. This was never discussed or thought about. Not qualifying to the Champions League hasn't even crossed our minds."

PSG in the hunt
Despite the protestations of Salah’s agent, there are elite-level clubs who are looking at the Egyptian winger. We hear that Paris Saint-Germain have marked Salah as a replacement for Lionel Messi, should the Argentina superstar fail to agree with their terms and leave as a free agent.
Those close to Messi have informed us that talks are still underway between the attacker and his current side PSG over a new deal and he has not had discussions with any other club so far, amid speculation that he was eyeing a Barcelona return or a move to the MLS to play for Inter Miami.
FootballTransfers is told that Messi has recently conducted his first in-person meeting with Luis Campos, PSG’s technical advisor, regarding an extended deal. And though an agreement was not reached in the pair’s first meeting talks remain open and ongoing.
Conversations between Messi and PSG will continue in the coming weeks, with the salary and length of the deal still needing to be agreed upon. Furthermore, PSG’s plans for the upcoming summer transfer window will also be discussed, with recent suggestions that they are planning something of an overhaul.
Indeed, FootballTransfers can confirm that PSG are currently the only club in talks with Messi and the Parisians have begun in-person negotiations with the player. In addition, Messi views an extended stay in Paris as his priority at the moment - and any possible move from the French side is unlikely at this stage.
